The Matthan is an excellent hotel / value decission while in Bangalore. Good bed / rooms, complete FREE breakfast / internet. I had to atted a Conference at the Leela Palace, and it was just crossing the street. The staff were kind and very friendly, they even wanted to help me go acrooss the street.

If you are a hotel located opposite to the Leela, and at a stagerring 45 km from the airport, U better have a few tricks up your sleeve, And the Matthan sure does have them. I visited the restaurant around midnight and still had good service. The staff were kind and very friendly. The menu was diverse and the orders were served to our table within minutes. sadly, the prices are far from affordable. A small meal for 3 cost more than 5000 Rs!! My poor wallet!

Matthan is a small hotel with very large rooms. As with most 5 star hotels it has the necessary amenities. What is missing is "Character". I visit this hotel regularly. Its a comfortably located and right in the heart of town. The rooms are a bit small but very clean and functional. The staff is very warm and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Its a business hotel and quite comfortable.
