“Good Place to Stay”

We stayed in the Houseboat named "Pleasure Palace". The room was spacious even with an extra bed placed there. The room and bathroom was clean. The furniture in the houseboat and not just the room was extraordinary - carved walnut wood furniture. All in all a very good place to stay when in Srinagar.
The food was very good too but not too much variety for breakfast, which is the case throughout Kashmir. More

“Stay is good if you get a good houseboat”

During our vacation in Srinagar, I stayed in house boat provided by Athena Group for 2 days between 26th May to 28th May 2011.
The house boat provided for the first day was horrible for cleanliness and food though we were booked for premium type. We avoided to check in for about 5 hours but was told us that there is no option other than some substandard hotel. I raised this matter to the own Mr. Guam Nabi and as promised he shifted us to a premium house boat next day which was excellent for size, cleanlinss and dinner was extra ordinary. Thanks to Mr. Gulam Nabi.
One should check after booking / to the agent and if possible take the name of the houseboat alloted to you and also check whether is it from premium category? More
