Our plan was made only a night before and the best part was I called up at 1130PM night to check availability and Pradeep - The Hotel Manager was so courteous that he gave me all details. I booked for a Standard room with Tariff Rs 3500 per night for a 1 day accommodation. Facts that score high: 1. Courteous... More

This place is out of the world - in jungle amoung lions. We had a great time relaxing in the cottage, safari and just walking. So peaceful and above all, people are so friendly and always willing to fullfil your needs in the best possible ways. A must visit for all. More

When it was recommended by a friend-wild life photographer, we took as first handed information, as we never visited a place o heard of. Our impression was changed once we entered beautifully laid huts near hundreds mango trees. Our all three mornings were freezing (near Jungle area) with endless search for lions in closer by Lion Sanctuary. But we felt... More

First things first- having stayed there recently (June 2011), I was shocked to see that anyone could rate it as poor. However, seeing that most problems were with the manager I would like to point out that there is now a new manager, Mr Pradeep, who was beyond helpful throughout my booking and nothing like the horror story earlier travellers... When you go to a forest, it is very important to be in good hands. So you can explore and appreciate the life in the jungle the way it should be. This is where Asian Adventures scores over others - after all, they are naturalists who also understand what hospitality is all about. And they are very good at both.... More

Had seen reviews on tripadvisor and then booked this place.... We weren't disappointed at all as the hospitality was awesome. Mr. Pradeep who is the manager there went out of his way to make us comfortable. As there was the WC final on the day we stayed, he even arranged for a TV so that the guests can enjoy the... More

I returned to India in January of 2011 to once again be treated to more of the wildlife of this great country. Having collectively seen 11 tigers in three game reserves during my visit in 2010, I was determined that 2011 should be the 'Year of the Lion'. And that it was! But the Gir Birding Lodge accommodations made my... More

We stayed at Gir Birding Lodge for around 5 days in the Jan 2011 and to put in simple words, the stay has been excellent in all respects. RIght from the time we arrived at the hotel on 21st Jan till we left on 26th afternoon, each and every aspect of our stay was well taken care of. The hotel... More
