After a long, delayed train trip from Mumbai to Ahmedebad we arrived at Hotel Kozar around 11pm. I've never received a more frosty welcome anywhere in all my travels. Despite having a confirmed booking the receptionist claimed he had no rooms available and no record of the booking (even though my credit card had been charged).
The incredibly arrogant man was unhelpful & downright rude throwing paperwork and pens all over the place. It was odd and bizarre behaviour for someone working in the 'hospitality' industry.
After a lengthy and somewhat heated discussion the receptionist called the manager who was as equally rude & dismissive. Finally they demanded we complete a ream of paperwork and took our luggage to a room that I can only assume belonged to a member of staff. It looked nothing like the room we had booked and paid for. Unfortunately at that time of night, and in a city we did not know, we had no choice but to stay.
