I wanted to stay in a non-hotel type place in Chandigarh, and found Deep Roots Retreat after a bit of research. I was driving from Delhi, and was delayed in leaving Delhi, so arrived at around 11pm. Gobind (one of the brothers who own this place) gave me directions on the phone so I was able to find it okay.... More

We were interested in staying at Deeproots as a way to unwind after a few weeks of traveling, and indeed, we were able to do so during the two days and nights we stayed there. The hosts were very welcoming and hospitable, available on the premises the first night, after which we had the house almost to ourselves! Except that... More

Deep roots Retreat is a well placed farm house away from the hustle bustle of the city yet, adequately and mangeably close to Chandigarh. The open air, the ambience & the VERY wide and spacious accomodation really puts you back to the glorious times of Punjab. Visitors can really enjoy the fresh food, farming, meeting local village community , panchayats... More

Deep Roots Retreat is a secluded place not far from the city, but deeply inside a village. Mr. Gobind Brar and his wife are the perfect hosts making every bit of the stay a memorable experience to cherish. The kind of enthusiasm they show into what they are doing in Agri-R&D shows the passion they have in it. Deep Roots... More

We wanted to know about India's farming, and Deep Roots gave us the perfect introduction and exposure. We came looking for a small sample, but it felt like a pilgrimage to Mother India herself! Our group of 8 had travelled from South Africa to India for a 3 week vacation - some of us for the first time. We also... More

This weekend our friends introduced us to this absolutely fantastic place just a stone's throw from the mad rush of our city life... 45mins from our place and the vehicle ahead of us was already indicating that we have reached our destination & was so sure that my pal was yanking my chain. As there's absolutely no way that there's... More

In the state of Punjab, approximately an hour from Chandigarh, near a city called Morinda is a little village by the name of Ranjitpura. Deep Woods Retreat with an old world charm, comforts of home and luxuries of a hotel resides in this village where I spent 5 nights. Ideally located, it’s a perfect place if you want to make... More

We decided to stay at Deep Roots on our way back from Shimla to Delhi. Although it was a short stay of one night, it was very memorable.
