I booked this hotel in Vizag hoping to find a decent midrange hotel. That must have been an appropriate description, a few years before the place turned into the pits. The pictures on the website make it look clean and fabulous, but it's dirty, rundown, dark... Terrible.

We checked four different rooms, and found cockroaches in most of them; sometimes in broad daylight in the bathroom, others under the mattress. We finally settled on one that didn't have visible cockroaches - only ruined walls and dirty bedsheets with greasy spots. We paid for the room, and when we went for a walk, we didn't have the heart to sleep there. So we booked a PRICY but WONDERFUL room at Dolphin Hotel across the street, and went back for our backpacks.

If you want a budget hotel in the area, just walk around the Dolphin Hotel - there's plenty of hotels and lodges, and although we didn't check them out, some looked very clean and nice. More
