The hotel is in an excellent location for the english pub -churchills and the beach is 5mins walk. It is also situated on the main highway to serrekunda and banjul. You can get home cooked food from ladies across the road for 20 dalasi (50p) but always check prices and taxi prices as tourists will always be cheated. The hotel... More

My husband and I stayed at the Palma Rima the week before Xmas with family and friends who are regulars over Christmas. We stayed in a Bungalow which was clean and spacious. To improve the rooms, mosquito nets and the newer towels we had when we arrived should be considered by the hotel. We did not need to pay the... More

Just returned from a 2 week holiday in The Gambia with my wife. This was the first time that we have been to Gambia and the second time that we have been to Africa which was Kenya 7 years ago so we knew in advance that Africa is basic. I want to put the good and bad points across so... More

I have visited Gambia many times (3 times a year for over 10 years ) and i have always stayed in the best hotels surrounding the Kololi area. However this time i decided to opt for something cheaper in order to give more money to the locals and my adopted family. But i made a stupid mistake. This hotel is... More

Stayed at the Palma Rima in March on all inclusive basis, Bunglow rooms were fine they were clean and tidy, beds comfortable .The pool area is good and breakfast is adequate enough (think they are looking to change it) and the other meals were of quite good quality, as was the beer and "local" spirits. The problem lies when you... More

Just returned from the Palma Rima Hotel in Kololi Beach Gambia. Stayed initially in the cell block. The room was filthy, sheets unchanged from previous occupant, no fan unless you paid £12 per day! bugs in the linen and a mosquito infestation, raw sewage leaked into some of the rooms on the higher floor. Some very rude staff. Prostitution rife and... More

Been back 2 weeks now so thought I'd better write this before I forget. Stayed in bungalow which was very big but the furnishings need up dating, everything looked like it was about to fall apart. The staff were really good and very helpful. The pool was large but it was very cold which really put me off of going... More
