We stayed at Mandinka lodges over New Year and absolutely loved our stay! If you don't fancy big hotels or hords of tourists, but don't want to give up your European living standards either, then it is a perfect place to stay! In local surroundings, but still close to the necessary infrastructure of tourist restaurants or local eateries (much more... More

We stayed here in February, Diane and Lamin are very hospitable, making their guest feel more like family, the accommodation is clean and comfortable and situated away from the busy main strip, but within easy walking distance to restaurants and beach. Diane is always available to help wherever she can and Lamin is an expert for a wonderful lemon tea!... More

Our first visit to The Gambia, and stayed here at Mandinka Lodges for 2 weeks in December, was the best holiday we have had. The accommodation is excellent and close to the ‘Strip’ at Kololi where all the restaurants, bars and nightlife are located. Diane and Lamin are so welcoming, and will put themselves out to make your holiday enjoyable... More

It is hard to know how to describe perfection. Mandinka Lodges provide a spot of tranquility set within a beautiful garden. The round houses are amazing. Luxuriously huge with the best roof I have ever seen. Walking in you are greeted by a massive bed and a sense of calm and presented with the best nights sleep. Diane and Lamin... More

My Gambian Christmas was made even more enjoyable by the friendly and family 'like' atmosphere that pervaded the guesthouse. I was treated more as a member of the family than as a guest. The trips that Diane and Lamin organised for me were, to say the least, absolutely delightful. It was a most fabulous and excellent way to end he... More

We needed a break from our Hotel! Having both suffered from a fixation with round living spaces for years ie Yurts, Oasts, Gers we decided to stay @ Mandinka Lodges. We had already seen some reviews on TA previously that were +ve. There is the possibilty of staying in the main house but people probably come here to experience the... More

Well, this was a little gem! Only 5 minutes walk through African streets was the Senegambia strip with tonnes of restaurants, bars and clubs. Diane and Lamin were great hosts, helpful and so sweet. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the house and grounds were lovely. The location was quiet, the breakfasts were great and all in all we... More
