We stayed here for 2 nights as part of and Intrepid Trip Pyramids to Petra, was fantastic. Awesome food, great hospitality, great location and that hamock out the front of our beach hut was epic, only 5m from the sea.

This place is simply magic. It's a pristine stretch of beach that feels isolated and quiet. Rooms are thatch huts on a concrete slab but they are kept meticulously clean. Third visit and this lovely spot continues to impress. After a few (terrific) days in Cairo, moved to Sawacamp for 6 nights. Perfect as always. The beach is kept pristine, food wonderful, basic although large huts ideal. The mosquito nets are good (no holes) and the toilets/showers kept scrupulously clean. What an amazing place...truly a vacation spot. The hospitality was great, food amazing, and the idea of camping/sleeping on the beach can actually happen here! Absolutely perfect in every way. Beautiful setting on the best sandiest beach I,ve encountered on 23 countries. Accommodation very comfortable and all amenities spotlessly clean.
