We've just got back and have already got the post-holiday blues! The Makadi Beach Hotel was wonderful and we were so sad to leave. This is pretty much about the title - really welcoming staff & great beginners snorkeling. Tasty grill & fresh berries at the beach just add to the pluses. If you want to just have a week to relax at good quality hotel with some snorkeling - this is a choice in Makadi Bay. more

Stayed here from Christmas til just before New Year 2008. Really enjoyed the oriental restaurant and the buffet was good too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Super hotel. We stayed at this hotel with two kids. Everything was excellent (food, service, room, etc.). The beach is also good, snorkeling is available The hotel worth 5 stars !!!!!. I would absolutely come here again. more

We stayed 4 nights in a superior sea view room and it was excellent. Clean, super staff, surrounding green areas amazing, specially at night. Food was average (Riu Palace in Playa del Carmen) is superior more choice of restaurants. The restaurant in the beach area is not as good as the buffet in the hotel. We had a wonderful days... more
