I'd like to echo what several other reviewers have written about the issues with ownership of the appartments, meaning that fully paid up owners are not allowed to rent their own appartments! This means that you can book from the owner but they are more than likely to stop you entering, not a nice experience straight off the plane with... more

True to the last two reports the difficulties with Desert Pearl continue. Since two weeks prior to our arrival no appartments had been rented out as there was no electricity or water -- not that we had been told. Be very wary about staying in Desert Pearl Beach Apartments. Although most of the apartments have initially been purchased by British people, the Egyptian builder (El-Riad) is not honouring the contracts and is refusing to let the rightful owners into their own properties. real happy time these appt are brand new and cheap to rent so if you dont like hotels with loads of peaple this is perfect for self cat whith supermarket not to far away .aprill and october is nice 29 .26 everyday more
