We stayed at Jean's Home for 9 days in April. Gundi truly goes out of her way to insure that guests have a great vacation. She gave us many recommendations for day tour boat operators and places to visit - and everything she suggested was worth visiting. Reviews from other guests of the house and rooms and her great breakfasts,... More

Gundi who owns this place is so kind, helpful and informative. She knows everything there is to know about Galapagos and speaks English, Spanish and German which is really useful. We stayed in the four-bed bungalow which has a kitchen. It was a wonderful place to stay at on our last night in Galapagos. You take a river taxi from... More

During our recent visit to the Galapagos we stayed three nights at Jean’s Home in Puerto Ayora. Jean’s Home is a Bed & Breakfast on the other site of the harbour of Puerto Ayora. There is no road to that part of the town so you have to take the water taxi for 60 cents a person. On the first... More

We chose Jean's Home because of the positive reviews previous guests wrote and we can now add our own. We cannot find another word than "perfect" to describe our stay at Jean's Home! From the room, to the quiet surroundings, to the garden, to the amazing breakfasts and the water taxi rides to and from Puerto Ayora we were so... More

We spent 5 nights at Jean's Home and absolutely loved it. The house is lovely, spacious, very comfortable and the grounds beautiful. Gundi (the owner/operator) is a warm, accommodating and generous host. For us, being a short water taxi ride from town was a bonus as we enjoyed the peacefulness and quiet of the patio and gardens. The wifi is... More

This place has everything; great location, air conditioning, hot water, it is spotless. There is a sweet cat that lives there as well. The lady who runs the place (Gundi) could not be any kinder or more accomodating. She makes a wonderful breakfast every morning and there is a grill that guests can use. The wifi here was quits slow... More

Jean's Home is truly a home away from home! Gundi makes everyone feel very welcome in everything that she does! It is a great place for a couple or for a family! The B&B is located on the other side of the bay from Puerto Ayora, which is good but it does involve the small expense of the water taxis... More

We just returned from a five night stay with Gundi. There’s no need to repeat what the previous posters have said concerning their stays. Gundi goes the extra mile in making certain that your stay is as perfect as possible. Take a few minutes to read the preceding reviews. Every poster has been spot on. Jean’s Home is the perfect... Our host, Gundi, was great. She gave clear directions from the airport (which might have been a little bewildering otherwise, as we don't speak Spanish) and met us at the port to accompany us by water taxi to the accommodation. Gundi was born on the island (pop. 79 then; pop. 20,000 now) when it had no electricity or running water... More

Have just arrived back from two weeks in the Galapagos where we stayed for 3 nights at Jeans Home. We found this to be a lovely quiet and relaxing place to stay. We booked this place because of the good comments below, and the reasonable price compared to other Puerto Ayora hotels. I’m pleased to report that we found the... More
