Fantastic Hotel. We spent 2 nights at the hotel Agava in Opatija. It's very pleasant hotel and the staff was very professional, friendly and helpful. Thay can give many recommendations and will reserve restaurants for you (thay recommendat us restaurand St. Jacob and We are pleasantly surprised with the excellent food and accessible prices).

We were told that Hotel Agava was Habsburg Villa in 19th century and it really looks amazing. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable with everything that you would need. We were eating in the hotel restaurant because the food is varied and very tasty. There was no need to look out for a better place. Staff was helpful and friendly,... More

Perhaps I'm being swayed by Opatija itself - a real jewel in the croatia coastline not to be missed, but the hotel was great for the two night stay we had there. Good food, lovely bedroom with its own patio / garden area and helpful staff. Other rooms looked pretty good as well from what we saw. Air con was... More

The room and location is good..unfortunately the air conditioning is awful, especially in the middle of summer.. It does not work!! Breakfast is also terrible. Food was stale. If you are willing to pay this much for a hotel, I would definately try for something else!

Away too small rooms, mine was like 8-9 m2, it was so hot and no possibility of reducing the heat so I had to open a window, the smallest TV I ever saw (25 cm), very poor breakfast, no garage or parking, small bar in a lobby with very few drinks, no newspapers, no ciggarets, no...no... nothing, actually this bar... I came with my wife and daughter after reserving a tripple room for 2 nights, through Booking.com, the room was spacious and nice, the problem was that the aircondition didn't work in the room. The front desk (one person) needed to come and check and assured that there is a problem and they will try to fix. When we came... More

Arrived around lunchtime Tuesday and the room was ready, however it was quite a small room with no balcony or bath, just shower (Room 171). We asked for a different room and were told we could have one Thursday. All the reception staff were aware of our request, notes had been left for each member on shift and true to... More

This is the little sibling of the bigger Milenji Hotel down the street. It is a very nice, recently renovated, upscale smaller hotel. The style is on the traditional side. I felt very comfortable there. Though they advertise as a 4-star, it does lack a business center and a fitness center. But, I do not feel it was overpriced due... More

I have never felt the need to complain about a hotel...until now. After travelling through Croatia, we arrived at Hotel Agava for 3 nights.... Right from our arrival of having to wait for 10 minutes for someone to come to reception to register us, it just seemed to get worse....Two requests were made and neither were followed up on....
