very cute little hotel. the location is great and what really stood out is the staff. The staff was extremely polite and professional. I ate at the pizza place across the street a few times and it was very cheap compared to the rest of the city. The hotel is a block from the big supermarket and 2 blocks from... More

I went down to Cartagena with some friends for about five days. One of my buddies had stayed at Casa Veranera before and raved about it, so we gave it a shot. I'm so glad we did. From the moment we checked in, the staff bent over backwards to make us feel at home. They greeted us with fresh squeezed... More

We stayed here for only one night, although we wish we had stayed here our entire time in Cartagena. The space is beautiful and exactly what you would expect of a boutique hotel: a beautiful house with a central terrace. The rooms were tastefully decorated, and the entire place had very nice ambiance. Breakfast was made fresh to order and... More

My boyfriend and I chose this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend and after spending hours researching options on trip advisor. Let me start off by saying that Cartagena is not a cheap city and when it comes to boutique hotel options in the center city, while a dime a dozen, you'll be hard pressed to find one... More

No sign on door but right next to Casa Quero, just ring the bell when you arrive. Cartagena is perfectly safe for those that have a certain image of Colombia. We stayed here for 4 nights and it was the perfect location in the old city. Quiet street, great common areas, and you can have their included breakfast as late... More

Loved our stay. Beautiful terrace room & lovely staff - always smiling & very attentive & helpful. Wonderfully located in the walled city- a short walk to plaza San Diego & Fernandez Madrid which are great at night. Loved Cartagena! Would visit again in a heart beat...

Of all the amazing boutique hotels in Cartagena, this place is pound-for-pound the best option. It combines an economical price range with totally intricate customer service and a homey feel. I wouldn't go expecting the absolute nicest hotel in the world, but in travelers terms, it is a "BEST BUY."

We stayed at this hotel for two nights in December and were the only ones there. Although the staff - one person at a time - were kind and as helpful as can be, it was clear they are not hoteliers nor did they speak ANY english. The hotel does not have their name on the outside of the building... More

Some of these reviews made me a bit nervous about Casa Veranera but I am so glad that I went anyway. My husband and I stayed there for three nights and it was just fantastic. We were the only people there so we were upgraded to the suite, which is spacious and lovely (although the past review that says there... More

I agree completely with KFCB, the place is lovely, the location perfect, but the place needs renewing, the staff are lovely, but have received very little training, so they commit mistakes that make the place a poor value! I had a fantastic time in Caretagena, a must!! Casa Veranera´s owner should take care of the lovely place she has!
