Despite advertisement this hotel does NOT offer swimming pool and fitness facilities. In addition it does NOT offer any English speaking staff or friendly staff for that matter. Very disappointing stay despite the decent hotelroom. The breakfast is completely Chinese oriented so don't expect coffee, juice or anything other than rice and vegetables. 1. Location: convenient downtown location; close enough to walk to Wenshufang. 2. Amenities: modern plumbing, heater / air-con, tv with good number of channels. 3. Stayed at the Forstar for 2 days. Location is not bad - about 2 miles from Tianfu square and close to some really tasty little street food shops down the street. “Dreadful hotel”

We booked a so-called Deluxe King room which turned out to be a tiny, fit-for-one-person, room. The staff on the frontdesk were sullen and unhelpful, the breakfast was disgusting, and the location was so-so. The price of the room was around US$50, which is not cheap by Chengdu's standard. All in all, nothing to recommend about this hotel.
