This hotel is certainly outdated. It looks enough to give four star to this hotel. only good things for this hotel is good scenery of sea view. I will not stay this hotel next time.

The Golden Bay Hotel is a very nice place to stay in Weihai. The lobby and restaurants are beautiful, the rooms are large, well appointed and very clean. Nice hotel in beautifulll Weihai. This town was the summer residence of the Western people at the beginning of the 20th century and I can understand why. Hotel with direct access to the beach, nice outside terrace with great sea view. Decent restaurant and breakfast.

the hotel was the first 5-star hotel in Weihai. Still nice, but obviously outdated. No wi-fi in the rooms (only Ethernet cable). Not sound proof (you hear what's going on in the corridor) Breakfast a bit poor for a 5-star

Some sites said it had a pool, but was converted to a restaurant 3 years ago... But it's right on the beach (no private beach so no chairs or beach towels...) The hotel is very nice, but not a 5*. If staying in Weihai beats the business hotels hands down, little bit dated but superb location for a stroll down the beachfront in the evening. Its location really does make this my first choice if staying in Weihai worth the extra you pay. Possibly one of the quietest hotel bars in the world even by Chinese standards.

Room clean and with nice view to the bay. Good service.
