The hotel is getting a little dated. What was once the best hotel in Harbin is starting to look a little tired. The room was a little small, the heating was very hot, the breakfast was ok and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is situated in the middle of the walking street, a good position.

This hotel we will choose again. It was a quit clean hotel with electrical outlet in bathroom and friendly english speaking personal and for us importent: a very good breakfast buffet. Beds are a little bit hard.

In the December cold of Harbin (-20 or so), the Modern Hotel was a charming and atmospheric refuge! Our room was old-fashioned but certainly convenient and up to date.
