This is really good value for money (while everything is very expensive in the neighborhood) if you want to be close to Torres del Paine. Officially it's in Bernardo O'Higgins National Park, but not far from the treks, see http://www.visitchile.com/eng/south-patagonia-torres-paine/hotel-location.asp?id-hotel=TPA008. Follow the signs of the Rio Serrano things and you'll be fine. The staff is very friendly and funny. If... More

We stayed there 2 nights, while visiting the Park :Torres del Paine. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very quiet and the food excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. After a day outside, hiking most of the time, it was good to come "home" and sit in the cosy sitting room at the warm fire and enjoying... More

We stayed in one of the cabanas. It was great. When it got cold, we started a fire in the wood stove. Horses would wander by the front window. Big windows to take in the valley. Our three kids loved the cabana. Amazing views when the weather permitted. The staff did not speak much english and we did not speak... More

Our travel agents booked this for us, and my initial reaction was that it was small and a bit shabby compared to the newer Hotel Serrano which is right in front of it. Several other lodges are also in this area. I imagine that the view from this Hosteria must have been incredible before the Hotel was built, but this... More

We like (note that we did not stay in the hotel but in a rustic cabana 20 meters from the main building): Location, right in front of the Torres and Cuernos del Paine although not inside the national park Size of the cabana, with decent living room and bedrooms (have you checked other options in the hotels nearby? Compared to... More

I agree with most of the previous review. We did find it hard to find as there were no signs. Little English is spoken, but I realized this after my first email, as the reply was totally in Spanish and so after that I corresponded with them in Spanish. The room was a little old fashioned. It was large, but... More

This place is a little hard to find - when you arrive, look for the signs to Hotel Rio Serrano. The staff don't speak a lot of English but that didn't cause any problems. The room is nice and big with a comfortable bed, a table and some chairs. The room got quite cold late in the afternoon before the... More

The hostería is the worst of those located at the entrance of Torres del Paine, in the Rio Serrano sector. The room was cold (had to sleep with woolen hat on), like the service of the personnel: incredibly slow and seemed to think the client was the one who had to wait for them... to get an answer to everything....... We stayed at the hosteria in November for 3 nights. Among all of the accomodation in Torres del Paine, this was the one with the most affordable rate (135 US/night for a double room). The bedroom was simple but clean. The breakfast/dinner room was bright and sunny with a fireplace and a woodstove that give a warm home feeling and,... More

We actually stayed in the cabin behind the lodge, since there were no lodge rooms available. Although it was a bit quirky, it was quiet and private, and the view from the front porch was breathtaking. We were able to take very short hot showers and had electricity during the morning and evening hours. The beds were very comfortable. Best... More
