We arrived at Siem Reap airport, and got in taxi and asked driver to take us to Red Lodge. He said that it was fully booked and that most places in town were fully booked due to it being high season. He'd asked if we'd heard of Queen Villa, we said no. He said it was very nice and reasonably... More

With the wonderful reviews, we were expecting a clean, comfortable stay, and welcoming accommodations. This place is a little bit out of the way, though, it's still walking distance. At night, we did feel like the are seemed a bit sketchy though we were perfectly safe. We did see many other alternative accommodations that seemed nicer, and closer to town.... More

Stayed here for 1 week touring the temples (something the owner helped arrange for a fair price). Clean, modern rooms in an over-the-top mansion (decorated in very large, wooden furniture). Not a safe (because of crazy drivers) walk into/from town at night, so need a tuk tuk (~$1 each way), but a very nice place to stay.

Outside beautiful place but too far from the center in a dark road. Inside none at the reception at every time, dirty rooms, dirty bedclothes, dirty bathroom, dirty hall and dining room. In the bathroom only one old towel for shower, face and bottom never change in 3 days. The staff doesn't work and clean. (the principal occupation is nails... More

dear quintil! normally i never reply on reviews, but i think, what you wrote is not fair! my house is 6 years old and i can guarantee, that the rooms and the bathrooms are clean. when something is not ok, it would be nice when you complain when you are here - so things can be fixed! when you need... I stayed for eight days at Queen Villa in March 2009 and in many regards, my experience was a positive one. Michael is a great resource with regard to the Angkor temples. His tuk-tuk driver assigned to me was superb. And the pricing for tuk-tuk services was fair and readily customized to my personal needs. My room was okay and... More

This was overall a nice stay but not brilliant. Michael is a nice host but he hardly has time bo be with the guests. The location isn't central but you can take a tuk-tuk for 1USD and in 5 minutes you are in the city centre. One cannot ask more if you want to spend a quiet night not hearing... More

The drivers were the highlight of our stay. Very friendly and helpful. Hotel Unfortunately our positive impressions finished when we arrived at the room which was based out the back in a building site - They had not yet completed the rooms above us so we were woken each morning by the sounds of saws and hammers. The drains for... More

Michael is quite friendly, but compared to other guesthouses there is no internet and in general not that good and well informing service, e.g. Michaels Tuk-Tuk-drivers are too expensive (the prices you get to know after you have joined his tour...).
