Our Vietnamese tour company booked us into an absolute disaster of a resort in Siem Reap but our guide rescued us by switching us to the Somadevi at the last minute. An amazing pool with a swim-up bar, clean, well-appointed rooms, a nice restaurant with a lovely buffet breakfast and efficient courteous staff were all a pleasure. The hotel is... more

It's always an anxious time, seeing just where you have landed up, especially when you are staying for 5 nights. However, we were really pleased - it was an excellent hotel. Had rooms overlooking the pool, and the (large) pool itself was wonderful for early morning and evening dips. Breakfast also excellent - good choice and omelettes to order. Set... more

I stayed here for 4 nights at about $60.00 including huge breakfast. It is a very nice hotel with swim up bar, beautiful landscaping and nice rooms. You order a $10.00 massage from the front desk to have in your room. I showered, put on one their nice robs, layed on the bed and ended up have the massage girl... more

The hotel's best attribute is its proximity to the attractions nearby. Its walking distance from old market and pub street. Its 15 mins away from airport and Angkor Wat. The buffet breakfast served is also very good - with a wide selection of western and asian fare. Be sure to try the noodle soup! The rooms are comfortable and clean... more

Spent 3 nights in this hotel during our visit to Siam Reap in June, 2009. Hotel is located in the main area of the city. Lot of shops, restaurants and internet cafes are around the corner. The front desk staff is very friendly and easy going. We had to change the room to a new one as the air-conditioner didn’t... more

I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. If you're only in Siem Reap for a few days, and want a good base to explore with a nice pool to relax for a few hours inn between, the Somadevi is definitely the right place to stay! Ideal location, relaxed atmosphere and great service. Agree it's not the smartest hotel around, but... more

I stayed at Somadevi Angkor on a weekend trip to Angkor Wat this April. The reservations desk gave us a better rate than any website or any other hotel, especially considering it was the Easter weekend. Even more surprising was that they included breakfast, service charge, tax and airport transfers in their rate without my asking for it! The airport... more

Good value accommodations close to Angkor. I liked the room and lobby. The breakfast was average, it was worse in the ritz KL to be honest. A few points to note. Hotel charges $17 dollars for tuk tuk driver. Hotel is 5 minutes walk to Bar st. Staff at hotel are mixed. Some are nice but stare at you the... more

We stayed here for 2 nights, like the standard room on 4th floor with pool and garden view, the price was very good. We did not use the pool but like the location of our room, very nice. The bed is very comfortable, clean bedsheet is the plus of this hotel. This hotel is about 20 minutes by tuk tuk... more

Outstanding value for the money. Good facilities, pool, rooms. Buffet breakfast not outstanding but enough. Great location, close to markets, pub street. Booked on-line and got a rate about 40% below their web-site internet special rate (which was good to start with) Highly recommended. more
