We stayed here for a week - mom, dad, and two kids. We got two rooms which were very clean and comfortable. Owner was fabulous, very knowledgeable about the area (and SE Asia in general) and made many good recommendations for us. Guesthouse helped us arrange a tuk-tuk driver who was very good. Our whole experience here was excellent. We... More

We stayed 4 nights at Cashew Nut in room 10 on the upper floor. Very happy with the room, clean nice bed linen and tiled throughout. View over the street where you can see Cambodian life in full swing. Great air con + fan kept us nice & cool. Alan helped us a lot with suggesting temple itineraries and the... More

Value for money, service from the staff and Alan's great - they'll help to sort out your every need and questions. Location's not quite in the heart of town but it's still pleasant and all's within walking distance. We were heading down to Sihanouk Ville after Siem Reap and Alan just sat us down, pulled out a map, pen and... More

Met at airport by very friendly Tuktuk driver; made welcome by Alan and staff on arrival at Cashew Nut Guesthouse. Room 10 has aircon and a balconcy overlooking the street; very comfortable and worth that little bit extra. Alan planned our days in Siem Reap and Ankor Wat for us, arranged Tuktuks, and it worked out exceptionally well without a... More

We pre-booked a room for one week, were picked up at the airport as promised and right away felt at home at Alan's place. We really appreciated his great tips he offered us patiently: where to have great value meals, good massages, fantastic excursions with a reliable friendly tuktuk driver/guide, general information about Cambodia and other Asian countries, etc. etc...... Look, at under $20 a night you're not expecting the Ritz so it goes without saying that the rooms are basic but the service we received was unmatched; do yourself a favour and spend an hour with the owner right at the start and try to learn as much as you can from here before setting out for the temples.... Guesthouse is in a fairly good area, about a 10 minute walk to the Old Market. Alan was very helpful in setting us up with a tuktuk driver and gave us the order in which to see the temples. This made a huge difference as we met up with others the next day who saw the temples but in a... More

Nice rooms, sunset terrace, and all in all a great place! But what really makes this place one of the best places we've stayed during our 3-4 months in Southeast-Asia, is the staff, and especially the manager, Alan. He sat down with us and figured out what we should se, gave us a map and a route around the city... More

I originally booked four nights at this guesthouse, but moved to a different to hotel because of the following reasons: 1. Small bathroom 2. No double blinds to keep the sun out 3. Construction noise next door (Looks like they're almost done though)  However, I liked the people who work there, so I used their tuk tuk service and booked... More

Booked the guesthouse because of the excellent reviews received. Most of the reviews concentrate on the service and helpfulness of the staff, which are all true. Alan and all the staff will go out of their way to help and advise on all the local sights and attractions. The guesthouse itself though is very basic, clean, and functional, but lacks... More
