The Villa Shanti is set in lovely gardens some way out of the centre of Siem Reap, off the road which leads to Angkhor Wat. It’s a nice place to stay, very friendly and well equipped. Good free wifi, even in the rooms. Nice airy communal balconies. The rooms are themed and beautifully decorated. The service is great, very friendly and helpful staff.
They arranged a very helpful tuk-tuk driver for us Mr Pok Phearom, who seemed to be connected with the hotel, and was happy to take us on three half day tours of the temple areas. He showed us where all the places so we didn’t need a guide and also drove us down to the centre of town in the evenings for dinner and shopping and picked us up later to return us to the Villa Shanti.
It’s best to eat in town as the area around the Villa Shanti is limited to local beer-garden places where the food selection is a bit limited, even if you can find a menu not written in Khmer.
