The staff at Seven Candles were tremendously helpful from when we made our booking till when we left. They were able to help us find good guides at reasonable rates for Angkor. The guest house is lovely, well-maintained, offers privacy as well as a warm homey feel. The location is near the center of Siem Reap and near many good...

We found Seven Candles accomodation via Tripadvisor and first could not believe how cheap it was in comparison to the quoted packages by travel agents. All the emails were answered straight away and we were offered a driver and a guide as well. So basically we got a full package for the fraction of the price.

After 6 weeks traveling in Thailand and Vietnam we needed a reliable, comfortable place to stay while we traveled in Siem Reap, Cambodia. My past experiences in Cambodia had been poor but I was determined to have a better time of it this time around. We schedule with Seven Candles and it was one of the best choices of our...

Staying at the Seven Candles guest house with the Ponheary Ly family, is just like being a member of the family. Great rooms, great breakfast, great tour guides and location. Excellent value for money. Why not pop in, say 'hello' and find out more about their award-winning foundation to educate Cambodia's next generation. My daughter (15) and I have just...

The garden where breakfast is served is so very nice & quite, no tuk-tuk drivers or trinket sellers to intrude on a great cup of coffee & a breakfast to match. The Ly family does...

Lots of reviews I've read about guesthouses throughout South East Asia describe the place as family run and/or very warm, but upon arrival they feel anything but. Seven candles, on the other hand, truly feels family run, and in the best sense (and only best sense) of the word. The place truly has a soul, while on the other hand,...

We spent two weeks here and enjoyed the immaculately clean room and private bathroom as well as the friendliness and helpfulness of the family. With air conditioning, a fan, free wi-fi, bicycles available at no charge, and the availability of a delicious breakfast what more could you want! Location was also very convenient; an easy 20 minute walk to the...

I've been staying here for two weeks while volunteering with the Ponheary Ly foundation. Part of the wonderful part of staying here is that you're supporting a family-run guest house and an inspiring foundation. The tour guides and the guest-house staff are all part of an extended family - whether it's by blood or by "adoption." They have incredible stories...
