We booked our stay at Prince Mekong Villa Guesthouse which was very easy. When arriving late at Siem Reap, a driver was waiting for us to take us to the guesthouse. It felt a bit scary when driving in the lane where the guesthouse is. This was after reading the scams and robberys that sometimes happen at Siem Reap. But,... More

I was asked to withdraw my earlier rating and have instead chosen to write a second one based on the second stay I had there. The room I was given this time was downstairs to the left and was much worse than the upstairs room I had on my first visit. The bare room also smelled (I know it happens... More

A friend and I spent 3 nights here in February of this year. In general, we were both extremely pleased with the guesthouse. We had a double room, with four beds for the two of us and paid 21 USD per night (including a high season charge of $3 per night). We booked online, had no trouble with the booking... More

I met a fellow traveller who had booked this place and decided to go along with him as it was already dark when I got to Siam Reap. Despite it being a bit more than I had been expecting to pay ($12/night) I was pleasantly surprised to show up at a lovely little guesthouse with whitewashed buildings, a little garden... More

We stayed 5 nights in December and generally enjoyed our time. We had a quadruple room for us and the kids which was OK but expensive with the added seasonal charge. A 5 for the price of four nights helped this. The advice from the owner was very useful for the bikes around the temples and the trip to the... More

I stayed at this guesthouse for a couple of nights in November. I had actually booked another guesthouse but I decided to cancel it and book here instead based on the positive reviews I had read and in particular about the warm hospitality of the Swiss owner (which turned out to be a complete fiasco in the end!). The website... More

The Prince Mekong Villa caught our eye because most seemed to be more concerned with the host Eric than the actual guesthouse, but we booked based on the local knowledge Eric could supply. We arrived after a slightly stressful thai boarder crossing and met with a friendly welcome beer, a nice touch and checked out the surroundings. I'd describe it... More

Eric Bader is a man unto himself. PMV is a no frills, Euro kind of place in the Khmer heartland. Eric's dedication to the Khmers is the first thing you notice. He loves the people and is there to help not only his guests, but the Khmers who work for him. His staff is professional...he runs a tight ship. The... More

Great value for money guesthouse - I paid just $8 per night for basic 2 double-bed, fan room with cold shower. Has a friendly Swiss owner who has vast knowledge of temple area, plus lovely local staff he employs. I thoroughly recommend his own quiet alternate map route around the temples for you to explore by pushbike (and make good... More
