I had a great time at the Residencial Bolivar over 4 nights. The staff, although not being able to speak English very well, are extremely friendly and polite to everyone. The rooms were slightly small, and as I went in December, extremely hot during the night. There is only a fan in the room, so sleeping can be difficult during... More

I loved the place! The room and bathrooms were good, the staff was friendly, the breakfast with fruits, eggs and fresh juice was the best we had, Simon the tucan is hilarious and you can relax forever in the hammocks. More

The rooms are very small and simple, but the grounds and common areas are very nice. The staff is very kind and helpful, and of course Simon the toucan is a treat! The breakfast buffet is simple, but plentiful. Plenty of tables and hammocks to relax in during the day, and common kitchen. A quiet and friendly place, with 10pm... More

This is a backpacker hostal. Don't expect luxury. The location is perfect, just next to the main square. The rooms are clean and there is a lovely common area to sit down, relax or talk to the tucan. The breakfast buffe is very good with lots of fresh fruit, bread, juice, scrambled eggs... The staff is very nice and helpfull... More

We had one night between 2 connection flights in Bolivia and like most people expected the worst. When we got to the hostel we were surprised by the warm wellcome in the reception and Saimon (the tocan that live in the garden). We stayed in a double room with private bathroom which was clean and cousy. I would tought that... More

We stayed here for 3 nights. We booked well in advance and had reserved a double with en-suite but when we arrived they told us this wasn’t available and gave us a double instead. Not a huge problem, but annoying all the same, and the staff weren’t particularly sorry about the mistake. It has a great garden which is nice... More

The hostal is in a very good location, one block from the main square. The rooms are small, but very clean. The only problem is the heat. The fan in the room could not keep it cool enough. The shared bathrooms are very clean at all times, and plenty of them. Breakfast was ok, dry breads but good fruit and... More
