wonderful small hotel, friendly helpful service a few blocks from the main square of Sucre. Ask if they have rooms on top floor available as they lead to roof terrace with great views. Great place to rest up after sometime on the road. more

Hostal Su Merced in Sucre was a wonderful place to stay. Our trip in August, 2009 involved a lot of traveling to various cities and we would recommend Sucre, and particularly this hotel, highly. Su Merced is just beautiful...gleaming white with lovely courtyards and views from the rooftops. The location is perfect, just a few blocks from the city square.... more

Not the cheapest for Bolivia, but still a pretty decent bargain and a really beautiful hotel with a lovely central courtyard as well as a sunny roof terrace with views across Sucre. Just a couple of blocks from the central plaza, with helpful staff, good breakfast and free internet (3 computers, always availability). There were signs that the hotel was... more

sucre is a lovely colonial town and a welcome return to civilisation at a lower altitude after toughing it in uyuni and potosi. the hotel too was much more charming, and was well located. the only downside was the small tin box that is meant to act as an in room "safe"- suffice to say it is not. more

What can i say! Friendly staff, clean rooms, quiet, cable tv, minibar, all amenities, close to the main square but not TOO close. An enjoyable stay. If i am ever in Sucre again that's where i would stay. more

This hotel was recommended to us when we were in La Paz and it more than met our expectations. It is only a short walk to the square and is also very quiet. The desk staff were fluent in English and very helpful. We found the rooftop terrace to be a great place for interesting city views and to enjoy... more

We stayed there 2 days. Quiet and well-located in a gracious and lovely city. Spacious rooms with sitting area and very helpful front desk. Adequate breakfast. Beautiful patio, free internet and a nice Spanish colonial type atmosphere to relax in. Recommended. more

Very nice hotel with spacious room and a lovely sun terace overlooking Sucre. The hotel is located cental to historic part of Sucre. The rooms are very big and nicely designed, with private bath and cable TV. The ones towards the street are, during the day, a bit loud. At night it is very quiet. The staff is very friendly... more

We were relocating from Berlin to Sucre (for Buisiness reasons) and were quite worried about it. Until we arrived. We spent almost 7 weeks here and got to know it pretty well. Overall: Su Merced is a beautifully restored colonial home. It has many of the original furniture and details. There is an amazing roof-top terrace that gives you a... more
