Spent several nights in a top floor room that opened off the terrace. Enjoyed relaxing on the terrace. Room was comfortable; staff were helpful. We appreciated overall atmosphere with plants throughout and filtered water for guests. Location excellent - only a few minutes walk to the central plaza. More

We were 3 weeks in Bolivia and stayed 3 nights in Sucre, on Hostal Su Merced. This is an immaculate and very beautiful place. The staff is the best!!! For breakfast we had delicious homemade cakes - an unforgettable orange cake - pancakes, fresh fruit juices...Great city and the best place to stay. Francisca G More

I had a reservation for two nights in October 2011. The quality of the hotel and the service of the staff exceed our best expectations and we stayed an additional night. The gorgeous breakfast included fresh fruit juices and home made cakes, just great! I would recommend it without any kind of reserves. More

I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite which was spacious and comfortable. There are space heaters in the room but I didn't need to use it as my room was warm enough. Excellent breakfast including chocolate cake and pancakes. Jug filled with boiled water on the second floor in front of the restaurant so you can fill your water bottles.... More

El Hostal de Su Merced is a lovely little place. The 4-star hostal is built in a 18th century mansion and decorated with 19th century furniture which really sets the mood for your stay in this beautiful colonial city. The hotel opened up in 1997 and hosted the meeting of South American Presidents - the Bolivian President himself has stayed... More

Friendly, kind, homely and comfortable. So happy to arrive here after our trip through the wilds of Bolivia. Conveniently situated just minutes from the main square Also near to an enormous supermarket, next to which was a laundry. This hotel was just what we wanted. Our room was very clean, the bathroom had a strong shower with fluffy towels, and... More

We spent 6 nights here in June of 2011. The weather was really cold outside, but the service and accommodations here warmed us right up. The front desk staff was friendly and always willing to help. The location is perfect--just a few blocks walk to wherever you need to go downtown. We were so thankful to have a space heater... More

The Hotel de su Merced is a lovely, friendly hotel. The staff made us feel right at home. Our room (#21) had a beautiful view of the church. The breakfast's were good, especially the ham and cheese quiche! Relaxing in the open air patios of the hotel allowed us to soak up the flavor of the Hotel and Sucre. Hopefully... More
