My wife and I spent three nights here while visiting Hamah and the surrounding area. The only choices seemed to be backpacker places like the Cairo and expensive places like the Cham Palace. All the negative TA reviews on the Cham convinced us to try The Cairo. At 22 euros a night (about 40 US) it was fine: clean enough,... More

I loved my stay at this hotel/hostel - great location, 5 mins walk from the Noriahs and the Old City. The first juice bar as you turn left out of the hotel does great smoothies too! I actually requested a mattress on the roof to keep my costs down. This was by far the best roof terrace I stayed on... More

I've stayed in this hotel on numerous occasions. Honest & friendly owners. Good breakfast. Rooms are clean & many of them have their own bathrooms. TV is normally present in rooms. Located in centre of town. Owners can arrange trips to surrounding sites at reasonable prices. Those on a tight budget can sleep on the roof. More

While more expensive than a hostel type place, you get a real room, with TV, A/C, decent sized bathroom, etc. Breakfast was fine. Good location. Also has good rates for day tours that take you to all the sties around Hama. More

The location is very good- central and not far away from Nori wheels. It is plenty of restaurants offering shaorma and local specialities. The hotel is worth his price-clean with hot water only the internet didn't work and the hotel staff couldn't repair it. It is possible to change the money at regular rate and get many useful informations at the... More

The Cairo Hotel is a well located backpacker's residence in the centre of Hama. It is not a 5 blob gem. I travelled with my wife and three friends as part of our tour of Syria. We are all now in our late thirties and have a fair amount of experience of a large number of hotels in different price... More

This is a well-known "backpacker" hotel with in fact quite a varied clientele. The two brothers who run the place, and the other staff, are very pleasant. The hotel arranges taxi trips to surrounding attraction. More

We were moved to the Cairo Hotel from the Orient House Hotel as there was a mix up with our booking. We had a room one level up from reception. It had three beds in the room but each of them had sheets which weren't big enough to cover the dirty mattresses. The room was spacious but the decor was... More

This hotel is good option for backpackers, it is located near the clock tower, it is good location for sightseeing. This hotel offers rooms, dormitory and places for sleeping in matress on the roof, it's good option especially during summer, view is really nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable, you have to pay extra for air-condition. Staff can arrange trips... More
