though for european standarnds you wouldn't even consider staying there, don't forget that this is Hamah Syria, a rather poor region of the counrt y with no tourism and therefore no accomodation standards. Having read the LP guide I was quite looking forward to staying here but the reality was a let down. Whilst the lobby gives the impression of a modern 5 star, our room was very small and shabby around the edges. its the obvious place to stay - location and guaranteed comfort, and while nothing really wrong with it , it is charmless and dated, and bad value for money. we had a very small room with saggy beds; great view and good hot water but thats it. Much the worst place we stayed in syria! More
