I stayed in this hotel three times. Hotel is situated perfectly in the center of the city close to all main attractions. Rooms are spacious, especially in suites. Hotel building is renovated khan (caravanseray) of XV century with old style furniture, shatters and railings with carvings, metal beds and acient elevator. All these things gives a feeling of arab culture... More

The welcome was good, when we arrived we received our room quite fast, even if was early in the morning. The negative part which spoilt the stay: Upon check in (around 8.3am or so in the morning) the receiption offered us to take the breakfast by or before 10.3am After a shower we were in the breakfast room at 9.25am... My wife and I staid at Mandaloun for 4 nights (two at the beginning and two and the end of our trip to Syria). As many palaces in that Country the outside is nothing compered to the luxorius internal courtyard, with carved walls and green plants hanging from the balcony that sorround the court. The rooms are as you can... More

The location, size of the rooms and the old house courtyard setting was wonderful. The problem was with the service staff that do not speak English. With every small problems you have to go to main reception and try to explain the problem. The job of the hotel stuff is poorly supervised by managment. My room was clean but TV's... More

I stayed here for 2 nights while passing through to Beirut. Fantastic place and by far the best place (in terms of value) that I stayed at during my 3 week swing around the middle east. The rooms are large and spotless. The rooms are courtyard are built like a traditional middle eastern palace. The staff was helpful. My only... More

This large merchant's house with rooms opening a round a central covered couryard with its fountain is a fine way to enjoy old Aleppo. Our room was large and comfortable, but it is a converted house with steps and dark areas. Helpful staff who have little English or French. It took a day to orient ourselves on foot ()take your... This hotel is a nicely restored classic Syrian building with a central courtyard and very clean attractive rooms. It is a five minute walk to al-Aziza, five minutes to the Christian quarter, and ten minutes to the old city. Overall we liked it very much and would stay again without hesitation. There were two downsides: all the hard surfaces made... More

This place is full of character and is very atmospheric. There are a few tortoises which crawl around the beautiful courtyard all day and which add to the charm. Our room was quite small but very pretty and perfectly fine. We paid USD100 per night which seemed reasonable compared to some of the very top-end hotels. It was a bit... More

Even if you have to walk a bit (more or less 15 minutes) to reach the major point of interests is really a nice place to stay. Staff is really kind, rooms are clean and confortable. Breakfast was good and in a wonderful location. More
