The weather was bad when we arrived and so we needed cheering up and the welcome we got from the reception staff at the palace did the trick. It's a really welcoming place with comfy beds and great staff. It's about 50 yards from the square and is joined on to the main art gallery / museum so it's in... More

The Riga Palace is a new, modern high-rise hotel located an easy walk to the Souk, the National Museum, the Old Town area, and to the new and fascinating area along River Street. We stayed here for three nights in April 2011, and we recommend it for convenience and comfort. Our room (#1227) was large and very attractively furnished with... More

I just dont know why we have to see such places in existence. I stayed in this house only because it was high season and i did not wanted to stay in the Sheraton. I like local hotels with charme. This house not far from the famous rundown Baron hotel is a big kitsch palace. It must be the dream... More

The Riga in Aleppo, situated in a rather funky area that caters to buyers of ball bearings and the like, is quite attractive, has comfortable rooms and an excellent, spacious restaurant on the top floor which overlooks a good part of the city. There are muliple choices of entrees but I must confess it's the desserts that I remember the... More

We traveled to Aleppo by bus company "Has Turizm" from Antakya, Turkey. It takes 1 hr to the Syrian border, 1 hr to complete the customs procedures of 2 countries and 1 hr to Aleppo from the border costing 10 TL (7 $)/passenger. Bus station (Antep Garage) for Turkish bus companies is in the downtown and only 200 mts to... More

The Riga Palace is modern and well equipped to international standards. We were allocated a larger than normal room which made it even better value for money. For eating out, the Jdeida area is 10 to 15 minutes away on foot with several options. The Citidel is about 20 minutes walk through the suq, and is magnificent. Walk around the... More

I stayed at the hotel via travel agency at Adana. When I reached the hotel I honestly puzzled with the location. It was near car repair shops tec. Then I realized that the location was excellent to sight seeing places and all in walking distance. The breakfast was superb and the rooms were very comfortable More

Stayed at the Riga Palace for 3 nights and really enjoyed our stay there. We were a little worried about language issues, since we couldnt speak Arabic; but there was no problem at all. The Reception desk gave us all the information that we needed. We also enjoyed free parking for our vehicle. The hotel is situated within walking distance... More
