We stayed there twice (both times $40 US / night) for a total of 5 nights. The rooms were very different, the first one overlooking the Wat was lovely (though a bit loud in the morning when the monks gathered to collect alms). The second room was on the ground floor, and though nice, a bit dark and neither the... more

There is no shortage of lovely guest houses in Luang Prabang, but I thought that Villa Senesouk was a fabulous deal for what we were given. The 2nd guest house built in the back is stunning. The rooms and amenities were really nice and with the deal we got from Agoda, it was cheaper than a month in my Manhattan... more

We have stayed at this hotel for three years now. It is clean and the aircon works well. However, sometime in the last year I think they replaced the beds. The new beds are very hard and uncomfortable. It is like sleeping on a board with a blanket. Its location is good and it is right across from a cool... more

Definitely take a room on the front side of the hotel (first floor) as the highlight of this hotel is watching the procession! Hotel is not special in any way, but certainly a good place to stay in for the first days in Luang Prabang. more

We spent two nights here during our recent visit to Luang Prabang. We had to move from a very expensive hotel at the other end of town We wished we had stayed here longer The location was peaceful but convenient Although the rooms are not very large our room was air-conditioned and comfortable The free wi-fi was reliable and fast... more

I had five nights at the Senesouk Guesthouse and was very pleased with my choice. Its location really is excellent - on the town's main street but at its quiet end, surrounded by beautiful temples and with hardly any traffic but still within 1-2 minutes walk of lots of very good restaurants and about 4-5 minutes walk down to the... more

All accommodation in Luang Prabang is overpriced and this is no exception. The pluses include the position, opposite a big monastery and ideally situated for viewing the monks file (06.30 winter/05.30 summer) file into town to collect alms. Best of you have one of the first floor rooms with balconies. Free tea and coffee. Cable TV. Adequate bathrooms. Simple breakfast... more

We booked a room in the old block that faces the street for 35 dollars a night. On arrival the owner claimed that the room was now 45 dollars a night. After showing him various E-Mails that clearly showed that we had agreed 35 dollars a night he finally conceded. The room was small, but nice. The room opened up... more

This is a nice, friendly, and clean place in a good location in Luang Prabang. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are in two different buildings, one that fronts the street and a newer building behind it. We stayed in the new building, in a gorgeous room with dark wood paneling. Service and cleanliness were all fine during... more

When we check into Senesouk there was some confusion over our booking...they had booked only 1 room not 2, even if I'd already paid for both via WTL Travel. We stepped our to have lunch and by the time we came back, they had the 2nd room ready for us and we had been upgraded ito one of their more... more
