The Rattana sisters are friendly and helpful throughout my stay. Even during the booking process, they were very prompt in returning my email queries, even when I had to amend my arrival dates a couple of times. They also provided lots of useful travel advice during my stay in Luang Prabang. I requested for early breakfast at 6am which they... More

I changed my booking to Rattana as I heard how nice the staff were and that is of upmost importance to me in selecting a room. So I know I made the right decision. After an accident I hurt my wrist and one of the owners attended to me compassionately strapping my wrist and giving me anti-inflammatory cream. My room... More

We had a bit of an issue with noise in our room. We could plainly hear the people above us speaking so we asked to move. We were in the old wooden house with has lots of charm but isn't that well insulated. You might want to stay in the new building if you are sensitive to noise. The location... More

The Rattana Guest House really felt like a home away from home... The rooms are very clean and comfortable with air con. The staff were so kind, friendly and patient (even when we lost our room key). Set on a small quiet lane close to everything. We felt very safe and at home. Would recommend Rattana for women traveling alone.... More

At the recommendation of a a friend who stayed here in June, we stayed for 6 nights and enjoyed our time at this small family run guesthouse. Two sisters and their elderly mom are the hosts and their niece and nephew help them run the place. The sister's English is very good and one of the sisters speaks French as... More

I really can't think of something negative to say about this place. The room I stayed in was comfortable and a cool haven from the heat of Laos in June with nice wood furnishings and bedspreads. The bathroom was clean also (I think some of the rooms may have shared bathroom, but mine had its own). There's wifi, although it didn't... More

We stayed there for a few days in July and it was perfect a great value. Owners are very helpful and you can trust them to help you plan your bus ticket or other trip. Breakfast not exceptional but the free internet and smiles are very much appreciated. Rooms are small but very clean and wood furniture is nice. Would... More

We stayed 8 nights at the Rattana and enjoyed a relaxing stay in a very friendly environment. We were really treated well by all the helpful staff and especially by the two sisters, Nith and Phone, who run the guest house. The location is excellent - near to the Mekong River, the main street and restaurants and bakeries as well... More

Yea there are cheaper places to stay, but I picked here because both sister are great! Free Wifi and one computer to use for free in the lobby. The old wooden house is the quintessential of guest houses. Old traditional wooden house with a wonderful socializing area on the second floor. Rooms are basic and nothing fancy. Did have a... More

We stayed in the Rattana Guesthouse for two nights and were satisfied with everything, only our sleep was sometimes disrupted by some engine noise... nevermind, helpful staff and nice location. More
