We spent about 5 nights with John, Jenny and the ever smiling team at the guesthouse in May 2012. John is a great source of info on the area (although he still hasn't climbed Mt Phu Si....can't blame him, it nearly killed me!) and can steer you in the right direction regarding prices and where to go- and not go... “Not the Four Seasons...”

I'm really happy I found this guesthouse. This is not a hotel or a fancy place but you get alot for your money. Luang Prabang is expensive so choosing accomodation is a bit tricky. You can go for an expensive hotel or find a good guesthouse and spend more money on wine and excursions. Many guesthouses are bad and basic... More

“Great food and excellent rooms”

Went for lunch, stayed for a week. The atmosphere at Aussie Sports Bar and Guesthouse is relaxed and enjoyable. An excellent open air eating area with very comfortable chairs, just the thing for relaxing with an excellent meal. The rooms are top quality and well appointed, with the best hot shower in Laos.

We were booked into another guesthouse in the main area of town but after we found the Aussie Sports Bar & Guesthouse we decided to move. We stayed 2 nights and wished we had found the place earlier.
