We stayed in Villa Phathana for 5 nights in January 2012 and really enjoyed our stay there. The price was very reasonable considering the time of year (we just walked in and asked for a room following a bad experience with a different guest house). Although the staff didn't speak much english they were very welcoming and friendly, the rooms... More

Stayed a week, first in a huge front-facing bedroom for two nights, then moved to rear as it was quieter (no early morning traffic noise). Very comfortable family-run business, fab breakfast including a full monty. Wifi access. Staff really lovely and helpful. Most recommended, see the pics attached of the rooms. More

We stayed at Villa Phathana after reading Tripadvisor reviews, but we did not find the quality of our room to meet the standards of reviews that we read. Our bathroom was old and not very clean. Rooms on the first floor have good views but the rest are dark at the back of the hotel. The location is great and... More

Hotel in LP We stayed 5 nights. The hotel was clean and neat, room size was okay. Very friendly and helpful staff. We had a double room in the extension. Hotel staff showed us the room before we moved in by own initiative. Try to get a room in upper floor as the rooms have wooden floors. Breakfast was very... More

Have stayed a Villa Phathana a few times and you really cant beat its great location. The rooms vary in size but are all very comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is WONDERFUL! Staff are always there to help out with anything you need including tuk tuks out of town or advise on what to do and where to go. I... More

We ended up at Villa Phathana after finding the more popular hotels were full. The room we stayed in overlooking the street and the palace was huge and comfortable. The monks came past in the morning and we were just around the corner from all the action in the main street. The only complaint was the quality of the free... More

We stayed at Villa Phathana after reading Tripadvisor reviews, but we did not find the quality of our room to meet the standards of reviews that we read. Our room was large, but our bathroom was old and not as clean as I would have liked . The location of the hotel is good, just down the street from the... More

We stayed in both the VIP room (room #5 at $55 per night) and one of the courtyard rooms. The VIP room is well worth the extra cost because it has a lovely porch out front, it is more spacious, has a large bathroom with tub and shower and a big comfortable bed. The other rooms are nice as well... More

We (my husband, baby and myself and my parents and the hubby's parents) stayed for almost a week and couldn't think of a better place to be. The staff were very accommodating, friendly and gave advice when asked. The breakfast was very good (the menu said baguette but bread very lightly toasted was provided - my only complaint) and filling... More
