We stayed in Zadar because there was a flight route there, even though our goal was another part of Croatia. But we were so impressed with Zadar itself that we decided to stay on a few days more. The airport is tiny, and so a taxi had to be especially arranged, but, when it failed to materialise, the owners themselves... More

In Croatia there are many options for apartment/room rental in touristy areas. We think that Villa Vanilla was an apartment with a plus, since: it has a pool that guests can use; it provides (a good) breakfast for an extra charge; and service was excellent. Actually you are welcomed by the hosts themselves, a nice family that also lives there.... More

We stayed with 4 other couples in Villa Vanilla or one week end in September. The place is tiny but very functionnal with a little pool. The owners live upstairs and are very helpful and sweet. On Sunday they organized a big breakfast on the terrace like in a 5star. I would definitely recommend Vanilla for famillies or couples.

The villa is about a 5 to 10 minute drive from the centre of Zadar. It was very spacious with two bedrooms, a lounge area, small dining table, kitchen and reasonable size bathroom. A dog (I think it belonged to the hosts) barked all evening and well into the night. The kitchen is reasonably equipped although some of the basic... More

We stayed at Villa Vanilla for 2 nights 28/29th Aug. It provided the perfect end to our 12 day tour of Croatia as the Villa is in a quiet location, with a lovely small pool, little private patio areas, so it is primed for quiet relaxation. Vesna welcomed us into her family and they all couldn’t do enough for us…without... More

Regret the fact that we'd made a reservation for this villa for one day only, but we were touring Croatia and had to go further south. We stayed at the villa with a private pool. The private pool and well equipped patio were very inviting and made use of often the time we were there. We didn't notice the other... More

We booked a 6 person villa with a pool, however upon arrival were told that the 2 bed apartment downstairs (the villa is split into a 4 bed apartment with pool upstairs, and 2 bed apartment downstairs) was occupied by another couple, so 2 of us were put in a much smaller room down the road. The owner told us... More

Plenty of parking at the rear of the property, and our 2 bedroom unit had a sizeable terrace to enjoy our breakfast from. A nice pool was a blessing in the heat of Zadar, and the waterfront is a 5 minute drive away, even less to get to a good sized grocery store. The test of a good host is... More

My husband to be first stayed here on his stag weekend, he then brought me along for our 1st wedding anniversary. Before arrival they contacted us and arranged an airport transfer for 20 euros which is very reasonable. We arrived at a very quiet part of the town and after checking in we were taken to our apartment and noticed... More
