On arrival we were dispatched to room 449 which had no balcony but a view of a rather dull quadrangle where nothing ever seemed to happen. The room had a fusty smell which was possibly emanating from the carpet. The next surprise in store for us was that there was no electicity in the room so we rang reception and... More

Dear Sir, thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us, as I always find them very useful. I am sorry to hear you were a little disappointed after staying at the Hotel Plaza in Omiš, as we are not in the same range, it being a 4 star hotel compared to Argosy 3 star, so their... More

Stayed for 4 nights in June 2011. The location of the hotel is good, nice views and an easy bus trip to the old town. Rooms are very basically furnished with hard plastic chairs and cheap beds and bedding. Food was acceptable from the varied buffet. However, the staff and service leaft a lot to be desired. Ono my first... More

Dear guest, I am very disappointed to hear about Your negative experience in our hotel and please accept my sincere apology. I am very sorry You did not come to me with this problem while staying with us as it would have given me the chance to solve everything while still being in the hotel. Unfortunately a huge apology is... More

The Argosy has a large restaurant that does a great breakfast, dinner is not so impressive. It has a basic pool and a bar with plenty of areas to just sit in and use the Wifi. Argosy is just above a couple of beaches, one, the Copacobana, has a gritty beach and a little taverna thats worth a try. Cheap... More

We had the unfortunate experience of having to stay at this hotel for 4 nights as we were on a tour of Croatia organised by Riviera Travel. Our initial impression was that the reception area was light and airy, however our room was basic - the first room had a damp smell and dirty carpet - we moved and the... More

I last visited this area in 1966, and I suspect this hotel was built not much later. A concrete monolith. My heart sank when I saw my room, sharp green decor (also 60s but not really knowing retro style). Cold and slightly dank, and non-functioning aircon despite the fact it was unseasonably chilly. Curiously, as the bed was probably rather... More

If I could afford to I'd stay nearer to the old town of Dubrovnik in somewhere with a nice pool like the Bellevue or the Villa Argentina but since they're not in my price range this was a perfectly OK option considering that we wanted to relax in the sun a bit as well as visit the old town which... we have just returned from a weeks holiday. We can fully recommend this hotel. The accomadation was spotless, was of agood standard with lovely grounds, with superb views of the sea and islands. Food was of a high standard with a selection of meats and fish cooked by the chefs on the hot plate at dinner, and breakfast was also... More

The hotel is rather removed from the city centre, but is well served by No 6 bus from the entrance to the old town, which terminates very close to the hotel, so seats are generally available. The room was adequate in size and comfort, with a rather basic, but acceptable, bathroom. The rack rate is about 3 times the cost... More

Having read previous reviews I was prepared for a bit of a 'holiday camp' atmosphere at ths hotel but in the end we were pleasantly surprised. We were with a Riviera group and had travelled down from the central Dalmation coastline after a longlish journey via Mostar in Bosnia. We arrived at the hotel at the same time as two... More
