Thank you Ivan for your helpfulness and hospitality. We stayed one night on arrival in Split before heading off to Hvar. We liked it so much we spent another night there a week later before taking a bus to Dubrovnik. You couldn't find a better location right by the Cathedral and it is easy to find. The reception isn't open... More

The reception we received on arrival was perfect with our host even carrying our bags for us. The guest house is absolutely spotless and appointed though we would have liked a tv! Cannot fault the location.

A fantastic location right in the heart of the palace and a view of the church and bell tower from outside of your windom. For the price I don't think there is a better location, the rooms were small but clean and functional (be careful of the staircase it is very slippery). We stayed on the third floor (I believe... Fantastic location inside diocletians palace. Rooms are small, but clean and simply furnished (we stayed in the twin and first floor double). The staff were very helpful and friendly. A word or warning though - there is a bar that plays music until 12 - not too much of an issue, however the cathedral directly opposite starts ringing its bells... More

Diocletian's Rooms (www.staytosee.com) provided us an excellent, cheap & comfortable base in Split for a night either side of our week on the island on Vis, which was essential due to the lack of cohesion between our ferry and flight times. We stayed in the top room (Porta Aurea), which came complete with a private balcony overlooking the cathedral and... More

We stayed here for night while visiting Split. We booked the Porta Aurea which is on the top floor. I would recommend trying to get this room if at all available because the view is better and you get a balcony to sit outside on. The room itself was kind of small, but typical for this area. We had done... More

Before we start our journey, we emailed them asking about parking and how to get there. We got told to find the nearest carpark and call them, so we did. We parked at the long-stay carpark opposite the ferry terminate right next to the railway. After a phone call, which I found a bit hard to understand what exactly he... More

You must be careful if you are going to book Studio Apartment Spaladium (which is one of the options you find if you enter in diocletian´s room -stay to see-). Actually, the apartment itself is not bad but it is not in the same building as the others rooms and of course IT DOESN´T HAVE BEAUTIFUL VIEWS at all; what... More

50 Euro a night to stay INSIDE of Diocletian's Palace? How could I pass that up. Three nights in March. I have one word: wow. Your windows overlooks the Peristyle. Forget the room, the view is worth every penny! Rooms were basic, simple and clean decor. Bathroom was surprisingly luxurious; some high-end accessories. Great walk-in shower. Had no issue at... Split is amazing place to visit in the spring time. It is full of locals, tourists are rare and people are less nervous and situation is less chaotic than in the summertime. It is something special to wake up at early morning and take look on the Peristil square from the terrace of the 4th room on the top of... More
