The Cissus Hotel is a wonderful place to stay in Antigua, Guatemala. This was our first trip to this location and we would certainly return to the city as well as to Cissus. When you enter the gate you enter a very beautiful and quiet environment. More

We stayed for three nights at Cissus, and we enjoyed our time there. There are only 4 spacious rooms, with a colonial atmosphere, walking distance from the "plaza central". Perfect if you want to have a traditional touch and like quietness when you go back to your hotel. Service was good, not great, and we did not have lunch or... More

Our stay at Hotel Cissus was arranged by our cousins, long time Antigua locals, which tells you a lot. My wife, adult daughter and I stayed in Studio Suite #2 and it was perfect ! The rooms were large and clean with many amenities. You enter via a 24 hour security buzzer. Walking into the lobby was like entering a... More

We were going to stay in Cissus only for one night and we decided to stay longer. The rooms are perfect, the service fantastic and the location couldnt be better, very well located but very quiet. I loved the breakfast in the terrace. We stayed in rooms nomber 1 and 2 and also tried the suite, fantastic the three of... More

Our first time in Antigua, we booked 3 nights in the Cissus Hotel based on reviews here onTripadvisor. The hotel arranged transportation from the airport ($20/person). After winding our way through the traffic jams and pollution of Guatemala City, we arrived in Antigua at the Cissus. A unassuming white plastered facade with the name "Hotel Cissus" in small letters affixed... More

Hotel is in a good location, not far from the centre of town. It has 4 rooms, ours was very nice at the back of the building up a spiral staircase with its own private terrace. The hotel has free WiFi and breakfast is included. The staff are helpful with basic English however there is no laundry service at the... More

We stayed here for four nights during our week long trip to Guatemala. Each night we arrived back at the hotel felt as if we were entering our own private home. It is beautifully decorated with all the modern amenities mixed with the traditional textiles, tilework, and custom wood furniture from Guatemala. The garden is lush and creates a quiet... More

We were lucky enough to get the room with a private terrace, which was gorgeous, but even if we were in one of the other rooms I'm sure we would have loved this place. The staff were kind and helpful, the breakfasts were lovely and the location was great too. Highly recommended! More

Beautiful place to stay! Very quiet and unobstrusive. Started with wine and cheese (not expected!) We had standard suite 2. Great upper level with two beautiful terraces. Perfect breakfast served in the morning on the terrace. What more could we ask for!! This was our 4th trip to Antigua. Arranged lodging with Elizabeth Bell. Wish I was back there!!!! More
