One of the best hotels we staid at on our trip of six month.
The stuff was very nice and helpful, the breakfast was excellent and the rooms were beautiful decorated. And that all for only 20 US Doillars.

We spent two nights in Antigua and had a nice time at The Yellow House. The breakfast is awesome, staff always friendly and they have a nice roof to relax. The shared bathrooms are always clean. Just try to get to get a room upstairs because downstairs it gets noisy in the morning.

We turned up with no reservation and got a room no problem even though it seemed pretty busy. Our first room on the ground floor was spacious. But very noisy especially in the morning as right outside the window was where breakfast was served. We then moved upstairs to a twin room, much quieter upstairs. All rooms share the bathrooms...

We just spent 5 days in Antigua over Christmas and really loved Yellow House. While a little on the high side in price (about $23 US for a private double), it was value for money. Our double room had the most comfortable bed I've slept in in Central America so far, the shared bathrooms are spotlessly clean and the water...

Took a double private and were very impressed, room a little tight but warm and well laid out with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is exellent by hostel standards and the owner pleasant to deal with. We had no issues with noise and the room was cleaned to a high standard every day. Kitchen facilities are available , the...

Yellow House is by far one of the best hostels I've stayed in in Guatemala, and I've lived here a year. The beds in the dorm are normal, comfortable beds, as opposed to little mattress pads they sometimes have in other hostel dorm rooms. The service is great, the place is cleaner than any other I've seen, especially the bathrooms,...

If I remember correctly, this place had the prestigious "Our Pick" in the new Lonely Planet guide, which gave me too many expectations. It is a decent hostel, with an EXCEPTIONALLY GREAT breakfast, but the dorm room was a bit dirty and the beds weren't that great and I didn't love the showers. I mean it's a good place but...

The Yellow House is a gem! Wonderful staff, great prices, on-site travel agency with competitive prices, lovely rooftop terrace, very good location, and the best breakfast in town. AND they are making great effort towards a more ecologically friendly approach - very admirable in a country where the infrastructure is not even in place for proper waste management including recycling....

my family and i stayed in the hostel when travelling the world last year, we originally stayed in another hostel yet moved after 1 night to the yellow house as they didnt have any avaliable room when we needed one as it was so popular. The breakfast was the best part, with a wide range of fruits and also local...

I would highly recommend Yellow House to travelers in Antigua. Cece was very helpful and accomodating, she provided several very good restaurant recommendations and helped us put together a majority of our itinerary around the country. Although the prices were very reasonable, I think they were a little higher than other hostels in the area, but I think for the...
