The hotel is very small and quaint and radiates a special Guatemalan charm. The staff seem happy and really seem to enjoy their guests. The owners go out of their way to be helpful and had endless patience with all of us. Staying there was the best decision of my whole trip. more

Casa Cristina is a small family-run hotel owned by a German and Guatemalan couple. Both speaks fluent English. Service staff do not speak English but very friendly. All are helpful in teaching Spanish. Rooms are not big but clean and comfortable, has a cable TV. The owners go out of the way to help you with any quetions you might... more

We stayed at Casa Christina a total of 4 nights at the beginning of our Guatemala trip in March - we would have stayed for 3 more nights at the end of our trip but Christina was full, so we ended up at La Posada Merced instead (big disappointment -see review elsewhere). We had the opportunity to stay in both... more

Ideally positioned on a quiet side-street, but close to the centre of town. This hotel has a really nice atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very secure too. more

I had booked my rooms in Antigua months ago and the people at the hotel were even nice enough to set up a prepaid shuttle from the airport to the hotel. I thought that was great as I was arriving late and didn't know if I could get quetzales for the ride. Driver picked us up on time and dropped... more

We apologize to Mr. A, for the problems he mentions above; we have addressed them in order that it does not happen again. It is true; I was not at the hotel till around 11am, on the day of his departure. We do make mistakes and we are sorry that he didn’t tell me our shortcomings, at the time he...

Clearly I am not the only person who has had difficulty with the management here. I would have loved to stay at this place; for one evening stay that I needed before my trip to Lake Atitlan, it was quite reasonable. Despite the negative reviews, I was willing to put up with it for one evening. I made the reservation... more

We do not provide the shuttle service from the airport, we offer it as a service for guest that want a safe and reliable service (some vans have tinted window) to pick them up at night. We asked Mrs S for a deposit of $20 (to cover gas and part of the driver’s time) at the time she asked for...

Clean and quiet this is quite a gem. There is a rooftop terrace and rooms with views of the volcano Agua. The person who corresponded with me is the most patient woman on earth—she was completely gracious when I had to change the reservation twice due to my own errors. No restaurant but they provide purified water, tea and coffee... more

This is a small, cute, very nicely decorated hotel. It is definitely a great value for the price. We booked via email and got a fast response. We requested a room with a view of the volcano and were supposed to switch to that for our last 2 nights but something must have gone wrong with the reservation because that... more

Antigua is way over-priced but this is a great budget hotel. Buy a beer at a local tienda and enjoy the sunset frrom the terrace. Walk several blocks towards the bus station to find budget restaurants. Later, return to the hotel and check your email on their free computer. Then watch a movie on cable TV in your room. more
