Great place to stay! Very clean, service was wonderful. We had a jr. suite, it was very nice. It is a small hotel, but has lots of character. There is a great restaurant, very fine dining, possibly best in Antigua. No worries about getting sick with water of vegetables here. The staff arranged airport shuttle as well. There is a... More

Such a beautiful and characterful little hotel, we found it hard to believe it is new and not a genuine old colonial house. Charming little courtyards, 3 different areas semi outside to dine at night, and a cosy inside dining room for breakfast. Excellent, European style food. It is a bit further from the town centre than we expected so... More

Staying at the Meson Panza Verde is truly a memorable experience. From its pretty plant-filled courtyard to its large antique-filled suites, it is really like staying at a museum of Spanish colonial culture (as many have commented). I booked my trip at the last minute and was fortunate to get the last available suite (No.4 on the first floor). I... More

It would be hard to be disappointed with this hotel - it is like a museum set in the most beautiful garden. The rooms are lovely too.The breakfast is perfectly adequate without being spectacular. The trouble with picking a hotel in Guatemala is that there are so many that are so nice and there are so many with great reviews.... More

We spent three nights in the Meson Panza Verde during the first week of this month. Absolutely superb accommodations. Although it is listed under B&B’s on TripAdvisor, Panza Verde feels more like a very up-scale European boutique hotel. As I recall, the Panza Verde has nine uniquely decorated suites (all on the second floor with fireplaces) and three queen size... More

In July this year, my new husband and I travelled to La Antigua with a large group of friends and family for our wedding which was held at Meson Panza Verde. We had briefly considered Casa Santo Domingo, but chose Panza Verde due to its beauty and intimate atmoshphere. We couldn't be happier that we chose it! The staff were... More

This hotel has to be seen to be believed. Each room is a locally-sourced work of art and the gardens and patios are lovely. It's not cheap, but highly worth visiting! More

In a town with many great hotels, the Panza Verde must rank among the most attractive and interesting places to stay. The inner courtyard is lush with plantings, and brick and stonework throughout the property create the feel of a colonial villa. The Panza tries to double both as a restaurant and a boutique hotel, for the most part successfully.... More

This place is everything you'd expect from all the write ups that precede mine. Small enough to provide intimate, personalized service, but big enough to serve some of the best cuisine in Antigua (and the competetion for dining dollars is fierce in this town), I would stay here in a heartbeat given the opportunity again. We found ourselves 'trapped' in... More
