I never write reviews, but this place moved me so that I just had to share. After living in Central America for five years and traveling around there just as long, this is by far my favorite place to stay. Probably in the world. Honestly, folks, it is is sumptuously romantic beyond belief. There are nooks and crannies and starlight... more

This hotel is astonishingly beautiful. The grounds are gorgeous -- stone arches, walled courtyards and monastic domes surrounded by lush flowers and fountains, with unobstructed views of the majestic volcano from the roof. The rooms are elegant and decadent -- private courtyards, huge tiled bathtubs, high ceilings, antique furniture, and working stove ireplaces. The food is delicious, particularly the brunch.... more

Meson Panza Verde is a beautiful hotel - but I am also one who appreciates clean lines and white sheets but if you like Opulence then this is the hotel for you. It's got a lap pool, and a great restaurant. The rooms were over the top beautiful and the grounds were reminiscent of a faraway time. Hammocks all over... more

Meson Panza Verde presents itself as one of the best places to stay in Antigua. They believe they are a small, luxury, boutique hotel offering far better amenities and services than other hotels and hostels in the city. From my experience, I would strongly disagree. I wish my experience was better because I understand the trickle down affects that these... more

4 sisters went on a Guatemalan adventure. We booked the Jr. Suite at this lovely hotel. It was cheaper then 2 rooms elsewhere. The terraces, gardens and staff are all lovely. At night everything is lit by candlelight. It would be a good place to go for a romantic getaway. Splurge and get reservations to dine there. It was one... more

We stayed here with our two teenage boys the first night in Antigua before leaving for Chichicastegnango the next day. The second floor suite #12 has two bedrooms, one with two twin beds, one with twin queen beds. Also a living room with fireplace and a dining room. Antique chests and dressers, chandeliers. The rooms are beautiful, painted plaster, beautiful... more

My husband and I saved up for this trip for two years, so we could afford to stay in the Meson Panza Verde. We payed for the honeymoon package, which also included private transportation to and from the airport, a bottle of champaign, on of the higher-end suites, and an in-room massage. The massage therapist (Olga) was so friendly and... more

First I will start with the positives. The food at the restaurant was pretty good and not terrible prices. I found Antigua quite pricey, so felt panza verde restaurant had good rates. The restaurant also has live jazz/piano player which was great. The hotel has a very old colonial feel to it with a nice courtyard and a gallery. Not... more

My husband and I traveled by tuk tuk to Meson Panza Verde for dinner one evening. It is a beautiful hotel and restaurant. The restaurant is in the courtyard and continues into the side of the courtyard where it is partially indoors and partially outdoors. There is a small pool alongside the restaurant where small tables are set with candles.... more

Stayed in suite 5 for 3 nights and what a treat! The living room had a fireplace which was set and ready to go. There were candles around the room so very cozy. The bed was comfy and had a mosquito net. The bathroom was incredible. The decor was warm and the rooms very clean. Our suite also came with... more
