First of all, I am so grateful for my friend listing this on her wedding invitation as an option to stay at, even though she was getting married in Hadley (about a 30 minute drive away)! I absolutely loved it. I met both Ann (the inn keeper) and her husband. Ann offered to pick me up from the Amtrak station... More

I stayed at the Amherst Inn in May to visit my daughter at Amherst College. The Inn is a short walk from the Amtrak station, the college, and downtown Amherst. It is also next to the Emily Dickenson Museum. Ann, Innkeeper, was congenial and helpful. Breakfast was hearty. The room was clean, quiet, and fully functional. This Inn has been... More

I stayed at the Inn for two days while attending a conference. It is a beautifully restored old building with lots of attention to detail. The breakfast was lovely and the staff was very supportive and accommodating. The Inn is a short stroll away from the center of town and thus a perfect location for a visit to Amherst.

I stayed at the Amherst Inn this week, and it was good. Very nice room and bathroom, beautifully restored and authentically decorated house, big, tasty breakfast, gracious host, excellent close to downtown location, and right across the street from Emily Dickinson's house. The only minus was that the outlet that powers the lighting for one side of the room I... More

I stayed at Amherst Inn with my son and some friends while on a college tour. The Inn is beautifully decorated...original stenciling throughout, lovingly created by the owner, Anne. Even if Victorian is not your own style, this is a piece of art! We were warmly greeted by Pam, the gracious housekeeper who made us feel very welcome. Rooms were... More

I stayed at the Amherst Inn for about three weeks. My room and bathroom were nice, tidy and clean, and decorated in charming Victorian style. The Inn is very conveniently located in Amherst: literally just across the street from Emily Dickinson's house; a few minutes walk from local cafe's and restaurants; and I could easily bike or walk to UMASS... Just spent the weekend there with my elderly parents while visiting my daughter at UMASS. The owner, Anne, was particularly helpful with my parents, kept asking if there was anything she could do for them. The Living Room was great to sit around in the evening and talk, the rooms were wonderfully detailed and the beds very comfortable. Breakfast was... More

My daughter and I found the Amherst Inn to be clean and pleasant. The breakfast was hot and tasty and our room was very cozy. I am surprised by some of the bad reviews I have read and maybe things have changed because our room was exceptionally clean and quiet. We did stay on a Sunday night which might account... More

The room was perfect...two large beds (one for me, other for my teenage daughter) were comfy. The location is perfect...just a quick block or two walk to all the restaurants and to Amherst College. The breakfast had lots of choices and was very good. We will definitely come back again!

This 1850 Victorian Bed & Breakfast is beautifully furnished with period and replica pieces. The wallpaper is beautiful and the lighting fixtures authetic (if a little dim by modern standards). We stayed in the "Turret Room", which was very spacious, although a little cold this weekend in mid-March. The breakfast was ample, with multiple choices (eggs, sausage, french toast, bagels,...
