The airport pickup was convenient although we had to wait about 30 minutes for another party to arrive and ride in a van without air condiitoning. The room did indeed have AC, a TV, and hot water but it was dark, dank, worn, and noisy. Also, there was a leak in the bathroom so there was a puddle of water...

The rooms had air con and cable TV, and free (very small) breakfast.
The rooms smelt a bit like mould from the humidity.
The staff were friendly.

This hotel is a great deal ($35) again if you need a place to sleep and use the internet. They provided free transportation from the Allbrook Airport which was nice and easy. Because the price was so decent, we even just came in early morning and stored our stuff in the room while we ran a bunch of errands in...

the sheets may be clean but the pillows etc are clearly not and had a strange smell about them. also the sheets on the beds were far to small and you will find yourself waking up on a bare matress throughout the night. "breakfast" consists of 2 bread rolls, bad tea and OJ so we gave it a miss almost...

We ended up at the Marparaiso after arriving in Panama with no accommodation organised and meeting a guy who had stayed here a few nights earlier, and Im glad we did. There is certainly nothing fancy about the place, the rooms are on the smallish side, but they are clean, have air-con (vital!) and have a private bathroom with hot...

I planned to stay 4 nights in Hotel Marparaiso. On the second night I was kidnapped and robbed, spend more than 5 hours in police stations, before I was taken back to the hotel. I wanted to call my family and insurance company. After the first call, to my family, the lady at the frontdesk refused to accept another international...
