If I could sum up this place in two words, it would be roach motel. When walking around the neighborhood, you can tell that this place is in the slums. Found the Hotel Centroamericano a great spot to stay in Panama City. Has everything a traveller needs, helpful English speaking staff, free wifi, cable tv, secure & a great little restaurant downstairs serving delicious food in generous portions at a cheap price. Keep in mind this hotel is only $45 a night- The rooms were clean, towels refreshed everyday, cable tv, and great air conditioning! This hotel is great for travelers. No frills. The plus is a restaurant next door, that serves breakfast and late night meals. You can pay for an Internet card - and then use the computer in the lobby or in the restaurant., otherwise you need to find an internet cafe. more

This is a smallish hotel (61 rooms). The room was simply furnished and clean. The housekeeping woman was wonderful. She is friendly and a very hard worker. I can not remember her name. This place was a great location and best value (with availability on short notice) in Panama City. Close to the resturants and bars area and the staff was very helpful as well. Very accomidation with directions and even suggested we go other places for certain meals as opposed to teh attached resturant. more
