We stayed at the panama marriott hotel for a weekend. The hotel is beautiful. Hotel concierge services were excellent, they consistently gave us good reccomendations and made sure we enjoyed out stay. The only downsides - hotel restaurant didn't open until 12 noon. The casino is an exhibit of classic Panama service: slow, indifferent, void of common courtesy, and makes you feel like you're bothering the staff. This is not to say Panama does not have good service anywhere, but generally, don't expect what you've appreciated in other countries. The Mariott being the Mariott should really do something to train their casino staff... More

Landed at night from a long flight and got taken to Marriott. Very convenient, a great spot with a Mall on the adjacent property. Breakfast service was extremely slow. active neighborhood with cafes and clubs to walk about and shop or people watch.... nice accomodation includes work out room and pool.... teriffic staff, very curteous and helpful... tours of canal avail through conceirge... room was large and comfortable with flat screen tv and large marble bathroom..... be careful, tub is very slippery w/o bath mat! Stayed there in December 2011 with my partner. Everything worked perfect. Food is ok and the staff is nice. Our room was quite spacious and very clean. It is properly not a safe area to walk around in and you would need a cap. The hotel is expensive so you could properly get more for your money elsewhere. More
