Our guests will have the possibility of using common areas like kitchen, dining room, and restrooms. We offer free internet access (WI-FI), and a variety of services with an excellent attention.
I stayed here after seeing it online. What I hadn't found online was the price which was $11.50 per person per night in the dorm, which for a distinctly average hostel seemed a little steep compared to other hostels in Nicaragua. There's free coffee and drinking water for guests. When I arrived, I had to head back out to get cash and the guy who was checking me in told me not to take anything valuable as there are thieves who rob people. Which wasn't particuarly helpful seeing as he knew I was on my way to get cash. The neighbourhood seemed pretty nice and suburban but maybe don't walk there after dark? There's not a whole lot by way of common areas. There were a couple chairs outside. There was also a couch/armchair and TV but they were painting when I arrived so this was off limits. It's walking distance from the UCA and the Metro Plaza where some of the buses stop/start so it's convenient for that. Tip: if you get off the bus at Metro Plaza or nearby, go into the big supermarket La Union before heading to the hostel if you plan on cooking there. And get cash to pay.…

Very friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and showers, options for a/c, and was very safe. Free coffee in the morning and a water filter for refilling bottles, close to tiendas, only 30 mins to the airport. The only hung would be the beds are a little hard , but hey, it's Nicaragua .

Enjoyed this place for one night only. All rooms are clean. The dorm is spacious and the beds comfortable. The shower as big too and towels are provided. Lockers are big enough too and the reception was staffed 24h. The seems to be in a good residential area, close to shops, restaurants and a huge mall. Wifi was fast and stable. Didn't check out the tour-desk at the hostel but the information provided by the staff were always correct. Definitely a good place to stay for a few days in Managua.

There is literally nothing to do in Managua. So the hostel is just a stop for the night for a flight next day or on arrival. + : Location is good, close to the UCA bus station to/from Leon & Granada. There is a mall not to far either. + : Staff is nice. Room are decent, shower is hot, rocking share to chill. + : Good Wi-FI Nothing bad really to say about the place.

We liked this hostel. We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful, they even let us use their computer to do some research we needed to do. The hostel is quite far from everything, including the supermarket, but the hostel has options on excursions and we were even offered a walking tour of Managua for around $20 each (which is quite pricey and we denied). There is a shared kitchen with free purified water (which is always good), the kitchen is quite small and there was a mouse in there. We stayed in a shared dorm (the bunk beds were double beds which was something we'd never seen before). We were given soaps for our stay, however, the water was cold. For the majority of our stay, there were no other guests.

This place has a homey feel and is clean. It has a communal kitchen, common areas for socializing and washing facilities. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The location is very central and it is within walkable distance to both MetroCentro and the UCA bus terminal. I stayed here five nights and visited Leon, Granada and Masaya Volcano on various day trips. It might be warm inside the rooms; however, guests can hang out in the breezy common areas as much as they like. Thanks to Franny who helped me a lot with my trip planning.

We stayed here for one night after arriving in Managua in the evening. The hostel arranged for an airport pickup which was sweet. The hostel was pretty quiet but it is clean and has a nice hang out area. Only saw one other person. Rooms are basic and very hot, although I think there is an air con one. Free water and coffee is good but no breakfast. Staff were helpful.

I've stayed at a number of places in Managua and had been looking for a new place to stay in Managua when I pass through. Backpackers Manahuac is a perfect location, close to several places to it and shopping centers, and prices are on par for Managua. Taxi to the airport will cost around $10, give or take a couple depending on your negotiating. Will be back on my future trips through Managua.

I have stayed at other hostels in Managua, and this one is by far my favorite. Prices tend to be pretty similar throughout the city - higher than elsewhere in Nicaragua because you're in the capitol. Highlights (for me): the hostel offers good wifi, a computer to rent for $1 for 2 hours of use, a decent kitchen (with microwave!), free filtered water, tv and movies, breezy common areas, plenty of showers and bathrooms, and all day coffee. Where this hostel beats out all the others in Managua is in their staff. One of the other best known backpacker hostels in Managua has a reputation for vulgar male desk staff and impatient kitchen staff; I think that's why I was so impressed with Manahuac's staff. My friend and I were trying to find travel agents in town to discuss a trip we wanted to book, and the 2 day shift gals took it upon themselves to call around to some travel agents for us to make sure they sold what we wanted and then gave us directions to the closest ones. That night there was an earthquake (not the big one), and the night shift guy came to find us to offer us a flashlight in case the power went out. Also, there is a super cute local food place across the street that does cheap quesillos, gallo pinto, chicken, etc. They also sell snacks and cold drinks which is nice because it reached 100 degrees (38C) during our visit.…

We enjoyed our stay here, which was clean and also centrally located but in a nice neighborhood. The staff was nice and attentive. Additionally, the communal kitchen was pretty well appointed. We stayed in a private, and although all around this is a nice place, we felt the price was a little on the higher side to say this was a good value.
