Really homely little place. 'Grandpa' picked me up from the airport as arranged. Only stayed overnight so I did not work out how far the guest house was from the centre of Managua but would stay here again.

The family running this place are absolute gems. Hostel is very homely. Beds are comfy. Wifi is gold. 10/10 would stay again. Breakfast is delicious. Fruit salad and eggs with Gallo Pinto. The staff assisted with spanish phone call to check flights to corn island. Truely a hidden gem in this city.

Had a great experience there, even though I was for one night only. Was staying in a single room which was nice and clean with private bathroom. In the morning got a nice breakfast and they made sure I don't get rip off with a taxi so did catch it for me. Before I left I grab a lunch to go as "my abuela" was making arepas 👍😊

We stayed here our very first night in Nicaragua. While Managua wasn't our favourite city, we loved this place. Clean rooms and great service. Fabiola and her father made us feel very welcome! Loved their dog too :)

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Got a personal taxi ride (for an extra fee of course) back to the airport. Great breakfast bowl. Place was quiet with a nice sun room to lounge on both upstairs and downstairs. The only downside is that you have to carry your luggage up to the 1st floor - not a problem for me as I just had one suitcase.

Room Tip: I am not a big fan of tips, what for? Making the room? I left the place the way I got it.

Grandma and Grandpa went out of their way to make me feel at home. Grandpa even carried my heavy suitcase up the stairs. They are within walking distance to the bus station, and they are happy to help flag down a taxi if needed. Because of their location and hospitality, I have stayed there on more than one occasion. It is a great option for Managua. Eating breakfast on the patio was also a delight.

Lovely family. For a fee, will pick you up at the airport, which for us was valuable, as we came into Managua after midnight. So that was great. But the hostel is primitive - shower is a pipe coming out of the wall; beds, basic. Walls with old paint. We only stayed one night, and will probably not return.

I flew into Managua late at night and needed a quiet place to stay after a multitude of flights. Abuelo picked me up from the airport, the room was clean and quiet with a private bathroom. In the morning I was greeted by abuela making breakfast. Perfect first night in a new country.

We stayed there for one night and it was really nice. The hosts were very welcoming and smiling. Place is clean and well designed. We had our own bathroom in our private room and air conditioning which was a great plus ! Wifi was very good and very quick but doesn't work upstairs on the balcony. Just perfect for our last night in Nicaragua.

I have no idea why this isn't the #1 rated hostal in Managua. I've traveled a lot in Central America and this is one of the best hostals. It is a family run business and the people are absolutely incredible. Fabiola speaks perfect English and is very responsive in arranging anything you might need. Abuelo is great to practice Spanish with (very patient and will speak very slowly and clearly) and is fascinating to talk to. Everyone there is incredibly welcoming and nice and they genuinely want to help and make sure you have a nice stay. Even the dog is cute and friendly! Abuelo will pick you up at the bus stop or airport so you don't have to worry about dealing with cabs (which can be a hassle in Managua). The delicious breakfast in the morning with lots of fresh fruit is included. The rooms are very comfortable and there is wifi in the common areas. Very safe, incredible value, and overall great experience. Highly recommend if you are going to be in Managua!!!
