Mostly all-Spanish speaking staff, basic to sub-par amenities, zero ambiance, boring breakfast buffet. I was taken aback by how sub-standard this hotel was compared to other medium-tier hotels in the same price range in Costa Rica/Panama etc. This is what I would have expected in 1985 not 2012.

I stayed in this hotel during a seminar in October 2011. The service was very good but I was disappointed with the quality of the rooms and the breakfast. the buffet lunch provided for the seminar was also of average quality but at least again the service was nice and tried to find solutions. But I was not generally impressed.

Nice hotel even for tourism or business. Well furnitured rooms, quite new facilities. Personal was always very attentive to any need of the guests. Restaurant and bar with good quality food but the best was the terrace with the outsanding views of San Salvador's volcano! Tropical panorama enjoying a fantastic food.

This is a review of the suites, not the main building. Stayed there for a conference. It was okay, but definitely not up to Crowne Plaza standards.

An adequate business hotel for San Salvador although has problems. Plumbing issues, disorganized service staff, dining room breakfast team leaderless. If you stay less than 3 days it won't bother you. Me i stayed a week.

Crowne Plaza has additional building with suites called Plaza Hotel and Suites. Suites are a bit outdated but livable and clean. They have living and bedroom area, service is very nice and polite. English is not a problem. Buffet breakfast is very good but a bit expensive. Pool, gym and restaurants areas are very nice. Good budget choice.
Very nice hotel, well trained staff, very nice restaurant with a lovely terrace overlooking the volcano. Rooms nice improvement, specially bathrooms. How come rooms doesnt have minibars?
